As a non-profit association, we are a membership of Foster and Kinship Parents, dedicated to supporting each other and advocating for the betterment of Children in Care. We not only provide support to Foster and Kinship families, but offer a number of activities for these children and their Foster families, among other initiatives.

The CRFKA has many resources available to foster families. Information on advocacy for children, connections for teenagers, child protection, indigenous and metis services and much more.

Mentorship

We know this journey can be exciting, rewarding, exhausting and trying. Mentoring provides readily available peer support, through confidential, trusting discussions and the sharing of ideas to ensure the best outcome for the children in your care.

Services

As an organization, the CRFKA provides many services to our member families. These service include telus spark passes for families to use, and a free clothing boutique of gently used items. We are also very excited to announce a new partnership with Airdire Project Linus; an organization that creates new, hand-made blankets for children.
